Reviews
Came here on a Sunday afternoon for their fresh spicy boiled fish. The portion was a little underwhelming for $70 but fish tasted fresh (not much fish under the first layer in the photo). Their twice cooked pork and stir fry green beans was authentic and flavorful, but again portion was smaller than expected. Hot and sour soup is standard. Their menu caters to both Chinese and American tastes with many American Chinese dishes
We came here for a quick lunch before heading back home. The place is pretty spacious inside. The service is ok as they only had 2 people covering the whole restaurant. The food here is good and came out pretty quick. I did enjoy the mapo Tofu and the snow pea tip dish.
We come here a few times a month. Pretty yummy Chinese food! We usually get a beef and broccoli, or the basil beef, and the soup with fish and pickled vegetables. Smaller portions but the prices are good.
I'm posting because I brought in two friends who use power wheelchairs and this place is quite accessible. There are accessible parking spaces down the lot and a ramp. We were able to get one of the round tables so my friends could roll right on up. This place gets pretty busy but they don't take reservations.
Always enjoyed dining here. The staffs are friendly, typically made an effort to recognize you or chat up. Busy restaurant at dinner times. Great place to come for late night meals. This if our go to place for delicious spicy and sweet.
I've been frequenting Frying Fish since its grand opening years ago and it continues to be a delightful dining experience. Their extensive menu is a fantastic blend of authentic Chinese dishes and American-Chinese fusion that is sure to satisfy a wide range of palates.
Both my Chinese and non-Chinese friends rave about the flavors here. While it might not be the absolute top in town, the affordability makes up for it. Especially when you compare it with other overpriced spots, Frying Fish stands out as an exceptional value for the quality and variety.
One can't leave without trying their namesake chef's special - the frying fish, it's a true gem. But really, I've yet to find a dish I wouldn't recommend. Whether it's for a family dinner or a group gathering, Frying Fish has a table ready to serve. So, if you haven't already, give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
One thing to add, the rice here is very delicious!
This place has a good variety of options to choose from. The dumplings, soups, starters, with excellent spicy options. The cumin lamb was extremely good, the chopped hot spicy fish is my favorite of all, has a good spicy flavor and the fish compliments it very well. The fried rice had excellent flavor and the other dishes accompanied it very well. Definitely will come back to explore more menu options.
The only down side was, the main course was delivered to the table before starters.
Used to be one of my favorite places, but ingredient quality has gone down significantly. Cumin lamb used to be big slices of lean meat, but now it’s all just fatty gristle and small shards of fat trimmings. Picture is the second huge piece of gristle we found, the first one got spit right into the trash.
The boiled fish at frying fish restaurant was absolutely amazing! The flavors were bold, spicy, and incredibly delicious. A must-try dish, it's usually not that crowded so easy to find a seat!
